Has your identity been attacked lately. You feel like your story in life is filled with potholes, brokenness and sadness?

I understand. Truly an attack of who you are can make you feel frustrated and even hopeless. Sadness can become a familiar friend while you maybe missing a REAL friend in life.

I’ve had an attack on my health that has surfaced to the point of great concern. I’d be at a school and this heaviness in my eyes and body would surface.

How bad? I was subbing for a  PE teacher sitting right next to a raucous volleyball game and I about  nodded off to sleep. This has happened in quite a few days. I have felt it every since dave passed.

I prayed… and God reminded me I was not taking my liquid vitamins in the morning. So, I added that to my morning smoothie (something new cause I rarely eat in the morning) and BAM…the heavy eyes lifted.

Then, I had an attack on my identity. Those hurt. I have a powerful counselor who helped me unpack it. As I was pondering this and laying my soul bare before Holy Spirit…I truly believe you can rewrite your story that may seemed derailed by unpacking the truths of your identity. It’s the heart and soul of you. (Ephesians 1 and 2 is a great place to start again).

So amidst this struggle that wanted to put me in a deep well of grief and sandness, a friendly word emerged from the Vinedresser.

Again, I have not tried to write a Vinedresser word…they just flood out from a pain point or simply revelation in the Word.

I thought maybe you need this word too.

So….Listen…to the Vinedresser

Listen to the Vinedresser

“You have felt some attacks by the issues surrounding you dear one. Can I breathe hope in your soul? Face Me more than the onslaughts on your identity which have tried to take you out for the count. Get up.  Let me gently pull out the shards of glass that have cut you deep.

“Can I let you in on a secret Child?  The enemy has not grabbed the steering will from Me. Your times are in My hand. I got you and I will not drop you or your destiny.

“Worship while you wait. The long dark nights do not have to be times of loneliness but sacred worship in fellowship with Me. Do you feel that? When you worship I gird you up like a ship in a stormy ocean. The waves may hit hard but you can shout at them with the declarations of My promises. I give you that authority beloved.

“You feeling rejections lately? That’s my protection. You feel defeated? That’s the proving ground for me to birth victories from your greatest struggles. Feel lonely? Watch Me bring words from a friend or a text. phone call at just the right moment.

“Even if you feel all hell has broke loose around you, take that as a testing ground to trust Me and watch Me make it a testimony that someone else can grab hold in their times of devastation.

“Break out of disappointment and hopelessness. I am Your God of promises. I’ll light the way with My tender mercy  morning light from heaven or shine even as bright as flood lights on a football field. I am your revelation-light showing you the good path ahead.

“So trust Me child. I am rescuing you from the enemies of your soul.

“And while you’re at it..

“Say No to striving and Yes to abiding in My love.”

Love the Vinedresser

I hope that hits you in the right Holy Spirit place.

When it’s all said and done…Be kind to yourself. Ok.

I’m always an email away.

I believe in you.

Be you.

In the Vine,

Theresa

PS I had a podcast for you concerning some testimonies from the Boomerang word. Click here...I think it goes along with this new Vinedresser Word. And it does contain the 7 steps to breakthrough over “knee jerking” trauma. 🙂
