I heard today from one of my coaches/mentors is that “Over achieving is a trauma response”.
So, learning to be single and going in directions to take care of me could look like over achieving.
But, I feel so much of grace and favor as I go forward with Voice Acting (intensive training leading up to two demos by March), customer service jobs (Voice Nike) and still going out the door now at o’dark thirty to substitute teach.
So it’s like this…Whether it’s death or divorce from a spouse or some other event that wants to keep you in a dark hole, I believe you can come up.
Someone is waiting for your healthy voice!
You might think these traumas and destiny delays are just your lot in life!
No friend.
These can be steps for you!
1. Be real. Your emotions need to be validated. You can accept what you are feeling.
2. Seek support. Talking to a therapist or counselor can really help you! I have a Kingdom based counselor that has been so key for me. (Tammy at Legacy Ministries)
3. Have a few inner circles friends who speak life over you! I have received some amazing validation and help from a few very dear inner circle friends.
4. Take care of you. Self-care can include eating right, exercising, mind care and choosing to be responsible just for you! (You don’t have to manage every Dick, Joe or Harriett)
5. Learn to find time in dwelling often in the Secret Place in your relationship with God. Jesus and coffee and lots of time there brings me healing and hope! Worship music. Being thankful in relationship. I could write a book on how important this is. But I need more healing still.
6. Deep breathing is a key. Do that while imagining yourself free to be you!
7. Find a Bible based church that is practicing water baptisms! Serious.
I’m sure there are so many more.
Just sharing how I’m breaking out in freedom to go in the directions where my heart has dreamed to go. (Seeing the favor of God accompany this!)
