It’s Time To Activate: What Do You Have In YOUR House?
Listen friend. It’s time to activate.
What? The no strive, simply abide lady is telling me to hustle?
No friend.
But God has brought back to my mind the widow in 2 Kings 4.
The first few paragraphs are burned into my heart. You see, God spoke this to me at a time of complete devastation.
Someone had set our massive house on fire. In between taking inventory, (my husband went back to work on major projects), managing my children, living in a motel while looking for a rented home, I woke up one early morning hearing this:
“What can I do for you.?”
(From the prophet Elisha but much like Jesus in the Gospels asking the blind man the same question.)
So I share in this podcast the “activation” truths that I received during a truly traumatic time in my life many years ago. (2008)
Oh…and by the time we found a rented house…I heard the second question the prophet asked to the widow who was freaked out by the debtors coming to take her and her two sons:
“What do you have in your house?”
Back then…I simply said…I have a computer…a video camera…a mic (or two).
So with my head down working I continued (as I had begun) planting seeds, setting myself in motion for online marketing, and being intentional with following the words from 2 Kings 4. *(Looking back I can see another journey of finding my voice, my identity in Jesus).
If you remember, Elisha told the widow to CLOSE THE DOOR…and pour (after she and her sons WORKED to gather vases, and not just a few, as instructed by the prophet). I believe he said close the door because there would be many who would speak their fears into her then very fragile heart.
You can ask God for the specific “vases” you are to gather…..that will hold the little jar of oil you do have. And then close the door. It’s your pearl. I truly believe God will activate you and it might look really strange to those around you.
In fact they may be like chickens pecking at your heels when you are meant to soar friend like an eagle in your divine design, the frequencies of heaven that God lined in your very DNA.
May you be inspired to move forward today to not just stuff your brain with a bunch of “educating information”, courses, videos etc. Don’t get me wrong they are good…and there is a time and a season. But ask God which one you need, and walk out HIS call. You don’t need validation from man. That tug in your heart may be the lane HE’s calling you to walk. *I’m NOT saying to do it alone. Having mentors, friends, to speak to this area you’re called to are important.
Gather the vase(s)…and begin to pour.
It might be writing that book, starting that business, creating that course or podcast, or growing your brand online.
Shut de door…put into motion your imagination and dreams deep in your heart.
I’ll be here (in more ways than one) waving my white towel as you run this race called a beautiful life. Yes. I said beautiful. I declare joy over you today.
After all, Jesus is having a really good day today.
