The Story:

Post Easter
Easter has not always been a happy time when it comes to family.
Strange opening when you look at these pics above.
But this is a word of hope if your Easter was soiled by bitterness, squabbles and family dysfunction.
Turn around can always happen. We may not get to choose HOW GOD moves with His rhythms and patterns of grace. But He moves!
He hears your cries for your family, connections and inner circle friends!

He knows your heart that has cracked wondering if “family” is just a mystery that can’t be solved.
I remember cold lonely days in the camper when dave was struggling with no knowledge of what was going on.

I looked at a small plaque that simply says “family” over the small kitchen sink.

My mind would reel:

“Will we ever be reunited in peace?" I thought.

I missed my son and daughter so much that the ache was turning into a festering wound gnawing at the depths of my soul. I wondered if I had lost my chance of being their mom as we had not much contact in a couple of years.

So I ask you dear one?

Has your heart been torn asunder by family gaps?

I understand. I’m sorry this hurt is like a knife thrusted in your heart and then turned by the drama of the trauma.

Amidst the diagnosis (stage 4 pancreatic cancer) of my husband, God keeps showing up with the "suddenlys" in family ties being beautifully tied back together (in a bright bow). Right from the first Sunday the adult children rushed to their dad in Lincolnton, Georgia after I sent one picture to one of them. It passed quickly...with Dave's oldest son dragging him to the hospital by Thursday.

So, we spent this Resurrection day with a continued resurrection

Anna and William visits to Bubba, Heather, Heidi and children topping off with a visit with Dave’s sister Lynne, great niece and nephew.

Oh and a home cooked meal from Dave’s sister whose basement we are living currently. A grand home cooked meal Dave and I shared before all the family members entered our door.

We also added a family via zoom as we connected with @andreacrum7 and friends praying for Dave. Of course, if you know my husband, he splashed right back with anointed prophetic words for each in the zoom group.

My breakthrough is yours friend.

Don’t stop believing…

By the way that little plaque is now placed above our kitchen sink where we are living now in Dawsonville. I look at it with the wonder and gratitude with awe of our Father God.

In the Vine,

Theresa

PS Oh this is such a relief news. I do believe I have enough money for both my right eye (surgery the 27th) and my left (surgery May 11) . I can't find enough words to thank you for your support and prayers. And besides this seems to be a long email..  for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet. Psalm 45:1
