Repair and Restore Step One: Surrender

I fell off a cliff and dropped into the abyss of fear.
That’s what it felt like a few months ago. From the pit I went to His Presence these past few months and have found some revelation that may benefit you too.
It has to do with the inner work of the heart with the words He gave me of repair and restore.
In the midst of going forward in the direction of your hopes and dreams, conflict can come and the smokescreen of fear wants to hinder your joy (strength). It can also bury your purpose in your dreams in a pile of resistance that makes you feel so weary. You doubt the gifts and talents God has placed in your hands. You begin to see a haze over your hope.
My battle started with some abnormal stress along with a physical condition that brought great pain and confusion. (It is IC-Interstitial Cystitis)
I basically realized I needed to sit down (mentally) and find a resting place in His love. 
Holy Spirit started to comfort my heart in this intimate place with Him and instantly gave me fresh revelations of words. He released life as I processed my own issues. I was rediscovering some passions in my purpose and realizing the enemy was attempting to put up so much resistance to the very dreams the Lord was breathing His life into.
You may be able to relate. So I have HIS permission to share.
He gave me the starting point from which to rise.
The first part has to do with repair and restore.
Get a pen and read Amos 9:11-15 NLT
The Lord told me to focus on verse 11 as a starting point to make the other verses (rebuild, harvest, new wine, growth) become a reality.
“In that day I will restore the fallen house of David.
I will repair its damaged walls.
From the ruins I will rebuild it
and restore its former glory.”
Amos 9:11 NLT
After a day of muttering under my breath “repair”, “restore”, I asked the Lord if there were steps to this as I knew I had to walk in this before the “rebuild”.
Yes! He gave me steps. I am simply going to focus on the first step so as to keep this short. Basically the three steps are:
- Surrender
- Pruning
- Abiding
Surrender: This means to give up the striving and fighting to make things happen and to totally fall into His Hands in a resting place. (Psalm 23 in the Passion Translation is a great place to start).
Sounds easy. (chuckle)
To really surrender you have to go back to submitting to God and allowing Him to be the one who stokes the fire within. I envision going deeper and deeper down the rows of the Vineyard. It’s so deep that all is quiet and so still. If I sense a faint breeze, I know this is the wind of the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart. I let the leaves of the Vine wrap all around my soul as the healing oil of Gilead (Isaiah) is released in this embrace.
In this encounter in the Secret Place you can put your soul wounds up to the glory light of God and apply the blood of Jesus. You can be free of painful wounds from your past. It’s time to get over the drama of your trauma. Surrender to the Father’s Heart of love and know you are HIS much loved son, His much loved daughter. He takes good care of His kids.
Look at Proverbs 22:4-5
Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord
will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward.
Twisted and perverse lives are surrounded by demonic influence.
If you value your soul, stay far away from them.
This is a place of process…Where you upgrade your identity and belief system to what God says.
Your dreams and visions are not dead friend. Surrender. Let Him repair and restore your heart. You will experience renewed purpose that is anointed, peaceful, refreshing and full of joy (strength)!
From the recalibrating in the resting place comes the new season where you experience a place of rest to run! Yes, rest to run, but not in a work mentality. Let peace be your compass. Trust the process. You don’t have to make it happen.
God is for you and desires you to live out of your true spirit identity. You can hear His voice. You can have confidence He will lead you in the right path, “new blueprints”, and have assurance in the dream He’s given you.
