  • I was starting to think what do I want to be remembered for as my 60th birthday is approaching!

    It's around the corner in May. (gulp)
    Rather morbid I know.
    Just having a reflective morning about life and death
    This might sound like vain talk but I was really evaluating the balance of my striving in performance in my past instead of walking in life as a laid down lover of Jesus....

    My heart pitter patters fast as I realize the years gone by so quickly. Which in itself can be a slippery slope of wanting “re-do’s” in life or trying to avoid thoughts with perilous regret and lost chances.
    Then I realize I am being vain because talk like this leaves out the hope of the One who made the way for me to live an abundant life, no matter my age or lost dreams….or even the loss of my husband.

    Can I step back and see the tapestry of God’s grace in my life instead of looking under it at all the loose strings making no sense. The madness and messiness!?

    Just some reflections....as I nurse my cup of coffee...Listening to worship that really makes me cry with gratefulness...and praying…

    “Talking to Jesus.”

    A hot mess of gratefulness amidst the pains.
