I hope I don’t offend you with this word…
If I say “embrace the suck”…I hope you know my heart.
I am not saying “suck it up friend”…
And I’m definitely not trying to offend you. This phrase is simply a statement the Lord brought up to me this past week as I was thinking about….
Our nation…with the Covid-19 scares, the violence and the lies going forth at such an alarming rate.
This is not normal. And please, don’t tell me it’s a new normal.
And then….this phrase came up in light of some personal rejection, like a sharp razor cuts to my heart, in my personal world.
I could choose to simply bleed out and call it quits or I could…embrace the suck!
But let’s make this a little clearer. Embrace the suck is a military term.
It means, “To consciously accept or appreciate something that is extremely unpleasant but unavoidable for forward progress.” (Click here for fulls story in Episode 127 in the Kingdom Mentor Podcast)
I asked Holy Spirit to break down this military slang word to something that was more biblical.
He said…
Surrender EVERYTHING TO ME. This is those times when you learn to praise and trust Me right where you are…set your mind on the truth of My Word….then speak out the truths of what I (Holy Spirit ) says.
Taking this further….
Based in Hebrews 11:11 where amidst her suck (of being barren) Sarah’s faith embraced the miracle power of God… for the authority of her faith rested in the One who made the promise, and she tapped into his faithfulness.
So I can see how the choice is mine…to embrace HIM amidst the suck of the rejection punch.
You are given the power of choice too friend.. The choice to not let the trying situations, or stress of these times rule your life.
The choice to cry out in prayer with a prophetic declaration….
The choice to praise Him in the storm…..The choice to ask a few close friends to help you by speaking life over you… The choice to take a step in faith and believe He will always help you through the circumstance. The choice to sing allowing His joy be your strength.
These choices have the power to change you, transform your mind, and help you walk in your true identity as a spirit lead Kingdom shaker for heaven shifting atmospheres wherever you go.
God sees you as wonderful, powerful, and able to persevere. He calls you His much loved son. His much loved daughter.
So embrace HIM…. and don’t let the enemy sucker punch you.
You can speak into your atmosphere, coming from heaven, from victory to shift your atmosphere.
I believe in you friend. You carry great value for the Kingdom.
