Are you feeling a little storm tossed? I have some good news of peace for you.
I am throwing an anchor (word of hope from The Mercy Seat) out into what may feel like a tsunami of stormy troubles right now.
May I share a memory…of a real storm in my life?
It was many years ago. I remember sitting in my vehicle with a newborn b
aby (my second) fussing in the back seat as we were waiting for his sister to be released from pre-k.
With dark circles under my eyes from little sleep,(from getting up at o’dark thirty as an announcer for the morning radio show with a baby who kept me up as I nursed him at night) I sat frozen…. I was deeply troubled, terribly stressed, and really questioning God about some issues going on in my life.
They were not minor troubles but large…from finances to our business to my marriage.
I felt cold, desperate, and lonely. And then this song came on as I sat in my car wallowing in my fear.
I felt the Lord directly say this to me…from an Amy Grant Song… “It might take a little time now to get back on the ground, takes a little time now TO TURN THE TITANIC BACK AROUND…”
I remember upon hearing that lyric how this deep peace invaded my heart with a wave of peace going straight to the core of my being. Belief rose up…Even though it was a tiny ripple of wave, but I felt it..As if being lead to a peaceful harbor….
I felt Him drown my seas with perfect love and the smell of fear started to vanish. I just knew He WAS GOING TO turn the Titanic of the troubling issues around, and I was to simply believe!
That good news of peace is so available to you today, friend.
Holy Spirit whispered this to me as I’m sitting soaking in the music (of our specifically made Spotify List—Joy in the Storm)…He said: Today the press is a rest from the foundation of the YES and AMEN, found in His promises in Christ Jesus.
Rest to run…in His timing as He turns the tide.
I heard again Him saying this again….
“Know that I rule the stormy sea and its angry waves. As you cry out in faith, I am at work in your heart. Yes, even if you feel you have no faith at the moment, I can still glide across the out-of-control waters drowning your despair, no matter how fierce the gale of winds are blowing.
“It might take a little time, sometimes, but I will turn the titanic of tribulation and trials around. I’ll hold you close, child, as you wait for the turn around.”
He went on to say…which goes so well with this latest Word from my dear friend, Jody Chadban, featured on my blog and in the latest episode on my podcast:
“I will not forsake the plans and purposes of My laid-down lovers. Though you may not see it right now, I am turning it around…..
“Remember child, you come from a place of victory in Me. At times, it may feel like I’m asleep in the boat, but I am not. I have set you apart for a time such as this.
So, let Me give you the eviction notice to your fears and doubts. Cease striving and rest in the abiding. You have a secure place in My heart, as I anchor you in hope which is fastened to the Mercy Seat seated in the the heavenly realm of My love .” (Love the Vinedresser)
Can you hear that? From the cooing of the doves to the birds chirping in glee in this season of spring……
“Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth.
“The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.”
Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.”
