When Little Is Much to God-Podcast #80
If I am…Listen. I am so sorry.
I feel that way because today was a day of interruption after interruption.
I started the day…in that sweet spot…reading the word about David in 1 Samuel and getting wrecked by this comment:
“The Almighty has proven Himself faithful to His own. Again David had seen how emphatically God could be trusted even in the most dire extremity.
Always, always…’Little is much when God is in it.’ W. Phillip Keller
The rest of my day was filled with little interruptions, not in dire crisis, just little things that tested me to the core to walk out the no strive, no hustle, just abide and obey motto.
The disruptions:
- After time in the word, an interruption at our door. (Which involved speaking life over a heart so I should not be agitated)
- Dave asking me to go to the store which ended up a three hour journey. (Costco please come to my area)
- Dave asking me to register something online just as I sat down to my work.
As I thought about all of this at the end of the day I remembered that saying….”Little is much when God is in it.”
My little intrusions were all centered around what should be my first ministry/service: my family!!!
It’s later than normal but here I sit in the living room wrapping up my work for the day.
And I reflect… That interruption that lasted longer than I liked actually turned from agitation to gratification. I spent time with the love of my life helping him with errands, getting coffee together, then having great conversation on the way home. Not to mention his goofy singing into his truck mic how much he loves me. (I will never erase that recording).
I even did a live video and he interrupted that with a silly rap..about “where’s the chapstick”…. (Does not bother me…I keep on talking and thankful for his joy).
What am I trying to say amidst interrupting your evening –morning…. , Look for God to show up and remind you that maybe just maybe your handling a “little disruption” with an attitude of love is worth HUGE in the whole scope of life.
He is in the little. He loves to mold true character in your trusting Him with that little….

Theresa
