Blown Away By God
God just blew me away a few days ago.
He used my husband again.
It was a rainy day and we were doing one of my favorite things. We were allowed the honor of being Jesus with skin on to friends who came through our door. One was a wife and minister who simply needed to share a heart wound and have Holy Spirit words poured over her to take the sting and so Jesus could make here whole. I’m so glad God thought of tears. I am so glad someone invented waterproof mascara. too.
Later that day a young prophetic man stepped through our front door to spend time with my husband and simply share some of his stuff. It was in the midst of Dave speaking to this young man where I got blown away… by God.
Dave says to this young prophet as he looks at me… “I have to storm heaven for her,” says Dave. “Do you know what she struggles with the most? Oppression. I have to pray daily that it won’t overcome her.”
It’s true. I so want to do, to help, to make, to work that I feel like I’m not worth much if I don’t.
Why do I go to great lengths to share such a personal side of my life?
Well, for one, you have become my family and friends. Yes, email and social media can do that. So you may have some similar performance based acceptance junk that needs to be broken off of you.
Well, it gave new life that my husband knew that about me and was warring in the spirit to see me free. So I felt such a strong move of His Spirit to pray and walk this out with you, to help you so you really know who you are. That is one reason why I share the personal “Listen to The Vinedresser” words. Often they are birthed out of something I am going through or for someone I may be praying for.
It may not be oppression. Maybe it’s lack. Maybe it’s low self-esteem. Maybe you wonder if God really cares about your dreams and desires. Or maybe you just need a different perspective of the Father’s Heart.
So I write to encourage you. You are not alone. God sees. You may not have a spouse or a friend to pray for and with you. You do have our prayers and support. And we will pray that God does send to you a person who can represent the Father’s heart to you today.
Get ready to be blown away by God. He is so ever ready to see His Family together and whole. He may surprise you by a young person or by a motherly figure. There are no age or other limits to the Father heart of God….
WE stand with you and for you. We have been through the fire, literally and figuratively…in our marriage, in our finances, with family,…in life! In our own brokenness we have found a Savior who is real and who is so good about putting the pieces back together.
Don’t give up ok. Press in and press on.
We will stay on the wall (praying) for you.
Sleep well now. God is here. He loves you so much. And He cares.
