Three Keys To Unlock Your Chaotic Mental Mess

I’m a Kingdom mentor passionate to help you get unstuck from the chaotic mental mess so you can find your voice from a foundation of Identity.

I’m also a media strategist helping women to market their voice by growing their brand online with the Care Strategy..

But I want to share part of my journey in golf to set up something I believe will really help you manage your soul: your emotional and mental state with rhythm.

“When people learn how to tell their own story, their lives change in ways they never imagined.” Dr Leaf

So let’s talk a little golf. …which is on part of my story…I I grew up …most of my teens with a passion for this sport.

As a junior golfer I found great success on the links…but not without a price to my mind.

I remember very young I’d get so nervous before a tournament…even if I was the only girl and win is a sure thing. I’d usually settle my brain down after the first hole…I i shot and played well…then definitely that would help.

Note:  My performance affected how well I would be mentally..

I’d spend many a day and night at the driving range practicing and hitting one ball after another.  My motto: To be the best you have to work harder  than the rest.

Note: Performance acceptance starting to hard wire into my brain.

Weight issue…up early 5:30…run 2 miles and then practice

I know much of my striving instead of abiding came from this relentless pursuit to go to college on a golf scholarship and play professionally.

Well, I accomplished both of these goals…But not dealing with my mind and emotions was my undoing. I lost my dad half way through my senior year of college. I left all those emotions buried deep in my soul.  But there was one place I could not hide it…on the golf course.

For some reason…the setting where my dad was always my greatest fan….on the links…I had no control and went from an All American collegiate golfer  y junio year onto another….to a wrecked shambles of a golfer. I would walk past other golf coaches, who used to acknowledge me and say something, to stone cold silence or the turn of their back hearing them whisper…”what happened to tee.”

I share this honestly because years later I can see the landscape of the wrecked mind I was trying to walk through…AND yes, I had a relationship with God.

My last round as a professional golfer illustrates the total mental mess I was experiencing.
ON the links of a major course in Palm Springs, I was in the panic attack state where I could barely make a small distanced putt. In golf, it’s called the yips.

I can look back and see it all in a different state. I did not know how to deal with the trauma of losing my dad (he was only 48).  I often think if I had a “so called” mental coach I might have made it out of the “triple A” type pros to the LPGA>Even tho I competed in three US Women’s Open…one as an amateur the other as professional…the quest to be on the major professional league was filled with ups and downs…and the downs were all centered on me mentally on the links.

But I have NO regrets…I don’t even play now.

No regrets at all because I don’t believe I would have been lead to my godly husband or birthed two amazing kids, now adults.

But I share a small piece of this golf background to illustrate that no matter how wrecked you may feel with your own story, there is always hope..

I shared a story about dreams in my last episode from the book “The Sacred Journey of Goff” by David L. Cook.

I had read this little gem a few years ago and something brought my mind back to it so I got the audio to listen to it again….

There was one phrase that was used as the main character was teaching his professional golfer student a new way to swing. He emphasized this phrase so as to keep rhythm and fears away.

It was simply the golfer saying under his breath..”See it. Feel it. Trust it.”

As I thought about that phrase there was just something about it that clicked with me. But I wanted some revelation from Holy Spirit.

“Whatever we plant in our minds and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.”
EARL NIGHTINGALE

See it. Feel it. Trust it. It was ringing in my mind and I knew Holy Spirit was saying something.

In regards to my early years of mental crashes…I knew through understanding my identity in Jesus that much healing had come.

I like what Dr. Caroline Leaf has said:

“We can’t control the events and circumstances of life but we can learn to control our reactions, which help us deal with and manage the many challenges we face.” Dr. Leaf

So…see it…feel it trust it. I sensed and wrote down what the Lord was saying in how these words could be a set up for you daily…and even something you want to grow in, in regards to prophetic gifts.

See It— As a golfer..you often stand behind your ball and visualize where the spot that you want to hit. As a motorcycle rider…Harley Davidson no less, I rode my own for over 15 years and seeing where you wanted to go was crucial..

Ok..See it… with your spirit …Holy Spirit…I think of this as seeing something or someone with the eyes of Jesus. …asking for HIS discernment…that is crucial…HIS discernemetn to grow in you is so important.

If it’s a person and God lets you see something negative …not for you to point out but to pray…and bring the gold out..

See it…so you can daily ask God for discernment on what He allows you to see. Get in a sweet rhythm asking …

So see it…then Feel It– I believe can be turned from feeling it in a chaotic way to asking the Lord…can I have your heart to see it and feel it correctly…for my own mental health…and as your child.
Dave–feels love

So you see it..you feel it and then you

Trust It– You know the verse:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hewbrews 11:1

See it feel it…trust it. The trust comes in the belief system…believing what God says….

See it feel it trust it….
You start your day….what do you see in your mind…settle it down to ask God what He wants you to see……

Ask for discernment..

Feel it…this can be tricky if your a ‘feeler” in the prophetic way… you have to make sure you don’t turn that feeling into carrying…so …asking “How do you feel about this Lord…this person…this situation.

Trust it  I believe walking in trust involves activating your words to declarations…Switching on to I trust you Lord instead of the chaotic mind mess.

Holy Spirit has showed me that this all can be a set up to…

Release it

So you see it, feel it, trust it to release it.

This is where you become part of the True Awakening.
You were born to be a carrier of His glory…and you can “do” something in the midst of the injustices and damage in your family…in your world. Your presence ignited by God’s Holy Spirit can change atmospheres….shift dark into light…

You can be…”the much needed salt to a world who has lost hope for a loving meal at the Father’s table. You can be light in a world that thinks darkness is normal and struggles with enmity and strife.

You can be a true revivalist…not in your striving but abiding and walking out daily the rhythm of grace…
The rhythm of
See it—how God sees with discernmet
Feel it– How Holy Spirit leads you
Trust it–How you shift your belief system to what God says

And release it…with declarations activated from your belief system that speaks the Word…shifts atmospheres…shifts untimately you.

See it–feel it–trust it=release.

Yes great words for rhythm in golf before you send the ball sailing up onto the fairway…

Even more so…for your mind to be spirit driven…and not fear..

I end with another quote from Dr. caroline leaf whose work has helped me tremendously over the years…to walk out my identity in Christ.

IN her book “Your Mental Mess ” she says

“Mind-management is a skill that needs to be learned; used all day long, every day; and constantly upgraded as we grow from childhood into adulthood. For every new experience we need a new set of mind-management tools.”
Dr. Leaf

So my sharing a few words before a golfer who hits a golf ball…has translated into a lesson for me and hopefully you…as you walk in your true identity.

If this sounds great but you are wanting a little more help, I have opened spaces in my calendar for a Identity Blueprint…Check out ikingsmedia.com/blueprint…for more information on that.

I see a day..now…where you are walking as this revivalist changing atmospheres and bringing His glory…I see pages of future books having chapters with your names in how you became part of heaven’t solutuions to the worlds pains and terror.

It you. Your voice. Your life…you are enough.

So let’s remember friend…

Say no to fear …no to striving and yes to abiding…so you CAN live in the sweet spot…seeing it…feeling it…trusting it and releasing it…the sweet spot of your divine destiny.
