How To Escape The Dream Killer
Before I got this clipping, I seriously was thinking of what do I have to show for my life in a somber moment one morning…Were my dreams dead? I was face to face with the dream killer
Just being real amidst a challenging season…where the blows to my heart were hitting ever so hard.
Then I get this from my mom in the mail.
40 years ago. Our life is but a vapor.
His path. His ways. Saying no to the dream killer.
Maybe the dream killer has come to your door. Can I share this story I remember, ironically from a gem of a book called “Golf’s Sacred Journey” by David L. Cook.
The story involves a little girl and her father drawn to an old antique store during the Christmas season. The little girl saw a small piano tucked in the back of the dark musty place.
The little girl loved music. Though she had only been taking lessons for a short while, she knew she would make beautiful music someday. As she pulled the quilt and the do not disturb sign tucked with it (which she did not see) from the little piano, it happened:
She received her dream. The voice of God said, “Have a seat and play. It is your music that will move the hearts of many to seek my face.” Her heart became warm. As she sat down, she was transported to a heavenly stage. Time stood still as she reached out her hands and touched the keys.
She began to play and instantly light began to shine in the dark shop….people were drawn to the heavenly….
The music was not beautiful to the shop keeper but an alarm as he whisked over to the small piano where the little girl was and berated her for playing. The steam from his anger brought quiet as the music stopped. The darkness came back as all the patrons left the shop.
The little girl, crying, was lead out of the shop by her tender father…He knew he must repair and rebuild the dream of this little girl.
What he said is for you:
“When you give away your dream, you give away your heart, the wellspring of life.
“You must fight for it and a dream from God is worth fighting for. You must become a little warrior, and the time to start is now,” he emphasized. “But I am only a little girl,” she said sheepishly. The father asked her to look into his eyes. And with the conviction of God Himself he said, “It is God’s battle, not yours. So do not fear.
The father asked her a question. “Tell me your dream. What did God say to you today?” Remembering back to that divine moment she replied, “He said that I will make music that will cause people to seek God.”
What is your dream friend?
May I be a rescuer of your lost dreams…..?
God told me that I would be a dream carrier…a speaker of life.
That I would spend my life behind a microphone or in front of people (zoom camera’s included) and I’d speak, rescuing those trapped in the prison of fear and lost dreams….broken identities.
Your lost dreamd do not define you.
I’m here…feel free to connect with a complimentary Identity Blueprint and we can talk about your dreams.
Talk soon.
In the Vine…carrying dreams…,
Theresa
