Soul Health: Running With Jesus And Your Tribe
How do I explain yesterday. I am full. My soul is rejoicing in the rhythm of Jesus’s love as I’m held in the grip of His grace. Truly a boost to soul health.
I ended my first year, Bethel Atlanta School of the Supernatural, graduating with a bunch of other radical lovers of Jesus yesterday.
The auditorium had so much Holy Spirit pumping through the sound system with worship, combined with the hearts of fellow students’s hearts pumping, that it became a moment that will be forever frozen in time. Epic. Fun. Joy. Celebration.
The picture on the right here is what hearing and obeying God looks like. Huge grins to go with our love for each other. Even bigger adventures as #BASSM students extending the Father’s heart to sons and daughters. Walking in community as family, worshipping with friends, loving Jesus fiercely, and running hard after His Presence bringing Heaven to earth. Starts at home…extends outward…
This is one key element of soul health.
I am reminded by my husband Dave of some key elements to this thing called soul health. Dave said this..
“Soul health is not based on your acceptance from others or how well you connect, or on your connections. If it is, then you find yourself in a performance based acceptance relationship with all these other people. So really soul health is being aligned with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit…
“3 John 1:2 states: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
“This verse is teaching us a view of what heaven thinks about soul health. A lot of people don’t know how to love themselves. If you don’t know how to love yourself, you will never have soul health.Jesus said: ‘A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.'(John 13:34)
“So everything is wrapped up in that one covenant. How did Jesus love us? He gave up everything for us. Thats where soul health begins. Our love devoted to the trinity is first. Everything else is in culmination with perfect harmony with the trinity. That’s soul health!!!”–Firebrand Dave Croft
So, you are looking for real connections where your heart can be full and exploding with Jesus love? I understand the lonely seasons of wondering where these people are. I also remember times when the arrow of rejection or breaking of a friendship wounds you deeply.
May I simply remind you that Jesus can take the arrows out and heal your heart. He can also help you get on your feet and be intentional as you look for real friends as you remain abiding (trusting) your Father God for this.
He really is a good good Father. He hears your heart’s cries. His arms are open wide to pour out more love directly to you…and through friends.
Love yourself. Take care of you. And watch what God will do.
