Communion: Rest And Peace For The Soul

During communion….today…the thought of rest came.

Communion. Taking some grape juice and a cracker and “doing this in remembrance” of Him.

This is the thought that came with it.

We can get caught up in the “do do do” of life that we simply forget to rest, and listen to God.

This is not just a spiritual rest but also for our souls.

The more I study and learn about soul health the more I realize how important unity in your spirit is to your soul.. This unity involves the confession of sin. Yes, the sin of ours and others which causes soul wounds, and brings the trauma and drama to emotions.

This has to come to a place of release.

When we allow our wounds to fester through unforgiveness and offense, it affects our very body.

Our souls, traumatized by sin and the affect of internal injury, make our bodies fertile ground for sickness, disease, and addictions.

Which brings me to communion.

The last supper Jesus had before His crucifixion was during the Passover feast, or known as The Feast Of Unleavened Bread. This represented the time going back to the days when the Israelites put blood on their door posts so God would passover and not kill their first born.

And now, during this feast of remembrance, here sits God’s first born, Jesus, having this last supper with His disciples, His friends.

26 As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.”
27 And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, 28 for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant[b] between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many. 29 Mark my words—I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.” Matthew 26:26-29 NKJV

“When Jesus became our sacrifice, he made the way for our prayers, praises, and worship to become like that incense to the Lord….” Kelly Willard

Hence, I have been compelled to ask my Kingdom Mentor/Media group  to join me in daily communion for at least a week. We had our first communion LIVE on video in the group this past week.

I know the Vinedresser has a word on this. Well, actually the Son of the Vinedresser…My friend, Jesus, was speaking gently in my heart with this simple declaration:

Declaration: I am thankful for His sacrifice so I can have abundant life now. I am His delight.

Listen To the Son of the Vinedresser:

“Dear dear friend of Mine. I see the travail of your soul resulting in disorder in your mind and emotions.
This internal agony is affecting your body, dear friend. That pain. That sickness. That heart wrenching rattle bringing darkness to your soul…..

“Come to Me. Rest. The anguish of your soul can soak in the kindness of grace I lavish on you. The agony from the recesses of your heart is spilling out causing an upheaval around you. Your “do do do” list is leaving you spent and broken.

“Hey, listen. This is The Vine, Jesus, talking to you friend. Do you remember?

“I drank the cup of suffering for you. I was afflicted and tormented on the cross. The work is finished. My body was broken bread and poured out wine just for you.

“And now, I am no longer in the tomb. You could be healed of all your wounds. The resurrection power is at work in you.

“Let’s do this together friend, in remembrance. Break the cracker or tear off a piece of bread.
Pour the wine. I hear your cry asking for forgiveness and I rejoice with your heart as you bring your tender thanksgivings to Me.

“Take. Eat. Drink. Do this now in remembrance of Me.

“I am your song that never stops reaching for you in the deep abyss of your heart.

“You have stolen My heart.

“I am your lover and friend who is relentless in keeping you close.

“I am undone by your love.

“I am your Shepherd watching like a hawk over you and your family.

“I am held hostage by your love.

“I am your true and faithful healer of your soul.

“Your love is my finest wine.

“I am who I am.

“Your praise is My priceless perfume.

“I am the Son of the Vinedresser. I am the Vine. And you are Mine.”

Love the Son of the Vinedresser

Simple thoughts really. I hope you can watch the video above and listen to my heart on this as I invite you to exciting reality of walking in your spirit identity.

This could be the very key for your breakthrough.

Check the video out.

Stay abiding (and resting) amidst the process..

In the Vine,

Theresa
